Our family friendly cottage has recently been refurbished and is complete with many modern and luxurious touches, such as a large walk-in shower and a spacious kitchen/diner with fantastic views towards Alnwick. The cottage is incredibly versatile and is great for a relaxing break all year round. Near Alnmouth Beach and some great pubs and restaurants.  It has Super-fast Wi-Fi to ensure that home working can be completed if required, whilst the rural location is ideal for individuals looking to switch-off from their working world.

The cottage has stunning front and rear patios for outside dining in the warmer months and a cosy snug indoors, with a log-burning fire to enjoy in the colder, frostier seasons.  Fuel is provided and included in your rate.

Traveller Tips

We will accept grocery deliveries from companies such as Sainsbury's and Turnbull's of Alnwick, who also do nice quality prepared meals (See the "Eating In" section of the "Things to Do" tab above).

Getting Here

The Hoot is conveniently located very near to the beautiful sandy Northumberland coastline. It can easily be accessed by the A1 and is close to Hadrian's Wall and other historical hotspots. The postcode for AA route Finder or to look on Google Maps is NE66 2SY,  If you would like more information about transport options, Please do not hesitate to get in touch.  Note that it is a short drive, rather than walk to the nearest pub, shop or post office,

As it is closely located to Alnwick and Alnmouth, the cottage is the perfect retreat to return to after a day of exploring local shops or walking in the stunning countryside. The cottage is also ideal for keen golfers and for fishing as it is situated near some first-class golf clubs and fishing rivers.

Cottage Interior

In the master bedroom, you'll find a large mahogany sleigh bed, which is sure to provide you with a deep and peaceful nights sleep. The twin bedroom features two luxurious single beds with full height trundle beds underneath, perfect for large families.

In the large front and back gardens,

private parking for two cars is available. The cottage is complete with many modern touches, such as a widescreen smart TV with Freeview & Netflix.
